Information:
The Mastroberardino family is responsible for the recovery and relaunch of the ancient "Greco" vine, which was in the process of becoming extinct, the identification of the production area and its vinification in purity. The result of a rigorous selection of the grapes, Novaserra, which has become a classic, expresses an organoleptic complexity never achieved. The details of a painting by Raffaele De Rosa, created on one of the vaults of the aging caves, are reproduced on the label.
The estate is Montefusco with south-east exposure and clay-loam soil, calcareous with the presence of volcanic traces along the profile. The average altitude is 550 m. above sea level, the training system is espalier with Guyot pruning with a planting density of 4,000 stumps/ha and a yield of around 60 q/ha and around 1.5 kg/strain.
Winemaking:
Classic white vinification in steel tanks (about 20 days) at a controlled temperature (16°C-18°C). Bottle refinement for three/four months.
Description:
Nose: Characteristics of apricot, pear, apple, peach, citrus fruit, green almond stand out, with notes of sage and mineral hints.
Taste: Excellent acidity is appreciated, sensations that recall ripe fruit. Great structure and marked flavor.
