Information:
The name Falanghina probably derives from the use of poles called "phalanges" which have been used since ancient times to support vines. Despite having written evidence only from the mid-nineteenth century, experts maintain that it is a contemporary vine compared to Fiano and Greco, which date back to the first century BC.
The Apice estate is mainly located on medium-textured and skeletal soil with a predominantly south-east exposure and an average altitude of 350 m. above sea level The training system is espalier with Guyot pruning with an average planting density of 4,000 stumps/ha and a yield of around 85 q/ha and around 2 kg/tump.
Winemaking:
Classic white vinification in steel tanks (about 20 days) at a controlled temperature (16°C-18°C).
Description:
Nose: Fresh and fruity with strong notes of citrus, tropical fruits, peach, banana and white flowers.
