Information:
The Kollerhof estate dates to the seventeenth century and it’s proved by the maps made in 1775. Later, in 1966 the estate was bought by the family Visintin, still the owner of the winery today. The vineyards holding went through a complete renovation about 20 years ago reducing the vines per hectare with the aim to increase the quality of their wines focusing on Pinot Noir which in Mazon expresses itself at the best.
Solaris is a hybrid white wine variety grown mainly in Baden, Germany, where it was developed in 1975.
In 2011 it was added to the list of varieties sanctioned for use in Italy, but uptake has been slow there. As an early-ripening, mildew-resistant variety it is likely to be of most interest in Italy's coolest, northern regions such as Trentino Alto-Adige.
