Information:

Domaine Philippe Naddef is a family-owned winery based in Fixin, in the northern part of Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, France, just south of Gevrey-Chambertin. Founded in 1983 by Philippe Naddef, the domaine began with 2.5 hectares of Gevrey-Chambertin vineyards inherited from his grandfather, Dr. Denis Bizot, a notable figure in the Côte d’Or. Philippe honed his craft during three years at the prestigious Domaine de Vogüé in Chambolle-Musigny, sparking a passion for winemaking. Since 2008, his son Michel Naddef has joined the estate, taking over red wine vinification in 2014 and introducing a more refined, accessible style. The domaine now spans 6 hectares across 14 appellations, including Fixin, Marsannay, and Gevrey-Chambertin, and operates a guesthouse in Fixin, known as the “Grosse Maison.” Recognized as a rising star in the Côte de Nuits, the domaine is praised for its value-driven, terroir-expressive wines.

Description:

Nose: Intense and complex, with a nose of ripe red fruits (cherry, raspberry) and black fruits (cassis, blackberry), layered with subtle spice (clove, licorice), floral notes (violet), and an intense mineral character.

Taste: Medium to full-bodied with a juicy, fleshy texture and perfectly ripe, fine-grained tannins. The palate bursts with ripe cherry and cassis, complemented by fine spices and a velvety, mouth-caressing structure. The wine is highly detailed with brilliant acidity and an “incredible finish” that “just keeps going.
