Information:

Philippe Chatillon, artisan winemaker, was the manager of the Domaine de la Pinte in Arbois (39, Jura) for 18 years.

When he returned to the Jura in January 2013, he decided to create his own estate. He found a Savagnin vineyard in Passenans in the Côtes du Jura, on a well-exposed hill. Then, next door, Melon à queue rouge and Gamay. Further away, on a more calcareous terroir, he bought old Pinot noir and Chardonnay. The adventure began with these 2 hectares.

At the end of 2013, he had to leave 1 ha of Savagnin in Passenans. He then found 1.86 ha of Savagnin and red in Arbois/Mesnay-aux-Nouvelles, already biodynamic. In 2017, in Château-Chalon in Puis-Saint-Pierre, he took over 0.20 ha of Sauvagnin on terraces.

Continuing his experience in organic and biodynamic farming, he works his vines with a pickaxe and a backpack sprayer.
