Description

Information:

It was in the 1960s that Antonin Guyon, then aged 55, bought plots in a range of appellations covering the two slopes from Gevrey-Chambertin to Meursault.
In 1970, his son Dominique, after much effort, managed to bring together some 350 plots belonging to nearly 80 owners in the commune of Meuilley, in the Hautes Côtes de Nuits: 22 hectares facing due south, an excellent terroir that completes the family range.
Today, Dominique Guyon passionately runs this prestigious estate, with the sole aim of quality and expression of the terroir. He takes special care of the vinifications with the invaluable help of Vincent Nicot, the cellar master and head of cultivation.
The vineyard is particularly well cared for with complete ploughing and moderate amendments.
The harvests are also the subject of attentive care. The grape harvest is handled with care, in 40 kg crates, the harvest is transported to the cellar in less than 30 minutes, the grapes are sorted in the vineyard and then a second time in the cellar, the raw material must be as perfect as possible. The harvesters are regulars in the vineyard and some have been loyal for 25 years.

Wine making:

The whites are pressed in whole grains, a settling clarifies the musts and are put into barrels for complete fermentation. The wines remain on lees and are stirred once a week, bottling generally takes place after a year, eighteen months for the Corton Charlemagne.
