Description

Information:

In the heart of Burgundy, between the majestic Clos de Vougeot castle and the small town of Nuits-Saint-Georges, the village of Vosne-Romanée is surrounded by the most prestigious wines.

Our family has been cultivating vines for more than 8 known generations, that is to say since around 1620. The name Mongeard-Mugneret has been renowned since 1945, Eugène Mongeard being my grandfather and Edmée Mugneret my grandmother.

As a family, we cultivate around 30 hectares of vines spread across 35 appellations.

White Burgundy wines are made from the Chardonnay grape variety
Bourgogne Aligoté is a dry white wine made from a very old Burgundy grape variety that bears the same name
Pinot Noir is the only grape variety for all other red Appellations d'Origines Contrôlées, except Bourgogne Passetoutgrain, where Gamay is associated with Pinot Noir at around 50% in vinification
