The Chateau Comte des Cordes is located less than a kilometre south of the heart of Saint Emilion, adjacent to the Premier Grand Cru Classe Chateau Angelus.

Chateau Comte des Cordes was acquired in the fifties by Guy Balotte. The vineyard covers 3 hectares. The vines are an average age of 35 years old and are planted on sandy brown soils. The harvest is 100% manual. The vinification is traditional.

Description:

Chateau Comte des Cordes has a brilliant ruby colour with garnet reflections. It is concentrated with aromas of strawberry, raspberry, vanilla, prune and oak. It's beautiful bouquet is reflected in the palate which is well structured and generous with fruit. Try with red meat, game or cheese.
